Framing Wellness in Alberta

Let’s talk about wellness! Drawing on original framing research sponsored by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health and Alberta Ministry of Health, this course provides communicators with an empirical map of how to talk about wellness more effectively with the public and policymakers.

This course contains six learning modules. We estimate that most modules, if done thoroughly, take about 30-45 minutes to complete. The Strategic Frame Analysis background lesson and the metaphor lesson both cover more content, and accordingly take a bit longer. To keep yourself on track, you should plan for about 8 hours of total time. If you are already familiar with the FrameWorks Institute's approach to developing and testing recommendations for reframing communications, then you can save time by skipping the "deep background" covered in Section 2.2.
