Framing Immigration Reform
Immigration reform has reached a critical point in national debate, and to move forward, advocates and policy makers must be able to engage the public in a conversation about what reform measures are necessary and how they will help to improve the system. That’s not an easy task, given the divisive messages currently influencing public discourse on our national immigration policy, but knowing what to say and how—and what to avoid and why—can help advocates to build the public’s understanding of these issues in order to build its support for reform.
